Pottinger Peak is the easternmost mountain on Hong Kong Island with a clear view. On the summit is a military observation point that cooperated with Devil’s Peak Battery and Sai Wan Battery, which defended the eastern waters of Victoria Harbour during World War II. In addition, Dragon’s Back is widely recognised by locals and foreign visitors as the most beautiful hiking trail in Hong Kong.
If participants start at Pottinger Gap, run along the mountain bike trail and climb Dragon’s Back. Spectacular views of the island’s eastern waters and mountains await you. They run back to Pottinger Gap, climb Pottinger Peak and then run down to Big Wave Bay Village before finishing at Pottinger Gap.
As this is the last run of the The GreenRace Speed Series, participants must run the 15km course twice to complete the 30km competition.
