Part of the Altra King of The Hills (K.O.T.H.) Series 2025/26 , this mountain marathon features challenging trails through rugged hills, country paths, and scenic ridgelines of the northeastern New Territories. The course has been updated due to trail closures and diversions in the latter half of the full marathon section.

Part of the Altra King of The Hills (K.O.T.H.) Series 2025/26 , the Sai Kung Mountain Marathon is a classic Hong Kong mountain marathon traversing rugged coastal trails, village paths, forested ridges, and scenic terrain in Sai Kung Country Park.

The King of the Hills series offers challenging trail running, steep hills and the chance to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Hong Kong since 1998.

Weather - This race will NOT be cancelled in any type of weather unless Typhoon 8 signal is hoisted at 5am on race morning, but please see weather update info in Rules & Regulations tab. A message will be put up on website (and facebook page) if cancelled latest 5am race morning. If postponed the race will be rescheduled. We will also have a backup date if typhoon 8 is hoisted. If Typhoon 3 is hoisted we will try to go ahead, but will check to make sure the course is safe.

The 4th edition of HOT25 race will be held on Sep 28 (Sunday) by Victoria 162, with the same route as 2024, starting from Three Garden Road in Central, up the peak then back to Tai Tam for some wild trail running and streamtrekking ! Right off the gun you go straight up the Peak via Old Peak Road, descend the Peak via Guildford Road, and down to HK Trail 3, climbing up to Wanchai Gap. Sprint east on Bowen Road and up to Parkview for a refill at Tai Tam, and then tackle Windy gap, take a dip in Siu Ma Stream to cool down before climbing Jardine's.
