Hiking & trail running on adventure trail route, ocean coastlines, beach & mtn climb (Lo Fu Tau) - No helmet needed

AVOHK organizes this historic event in conjunction with the HKLRRC in memory of long time AVOHK and Ladies Road Runners member Malcolm Phillips, who so sadly died in May 2006.

Malcolm was a great AVOHK supporter and active member, both participating in races and as an organizer. He is so sorely missed by all but especially by the running community. Malcolm is always in our thoughts.

As a unique feature of the Malcom Philips 5K, we do not have categories, as it is an ‘age graded’ race. Times are adjusted by age grading in order to calculate over all results.

The 2025 HKSD Shing Mun is a 14km trail race with 1,000m elevation gain, taking runners over Grassy Hill and Needle Hill in Shing Mun Country Park.

The Hong Kong Trail Championships 2025, organized by the Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates, will be held on May 25, featuring 11km, 34.3km, and 62.4km trail races through Pat Sin Leng and Plover Cove Country Parks.
